ملخص

This research is a preliminary step toward revising the tourism educational system provided by Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Helwan University (FTH). As an initial necessary step, this research focuses on reviewing the tourism ILOs and courses provided by the FTH against those developed by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), United Kingdom, an accepted and highly recognized model, aiming to identify the gaps between the two models. Consequently, this should pave the bath for the FTH to reset its ILOs and tourism program courses toward reconstructing its current educational system. The research sheds light upon the immense gap between the professional and practical skills, and the intellectual skills provided by the QAA model and those provided by the FTH model. The research focuses also on the additional modifications required concerning the FTH courses to meet the QAA required standards.
