صورة المعلم العماني لدى طلبته من حيث السمات الشخصية والكفايات المهنية

هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن صورة المعلم العماني لدى طلبته باستقصاء نظرتهم إلى سماته الشخصية وكفاياته المهنية، وأثر نوعية الطلاب في تقديرهم لهذه السمات. استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي، واعتمدت في جمع البيانات استبانة مكونة من 30 سمة، قسّمت على محورين: أولهما السمات الشخصية، والآخر الكفايات المهنية. وتُرك المجال للطلبة في نهاية الاستبانة إلى إبداء وجهات نظرهم في صورة المعلم. وقد أجاب على بنود الاستبانة 1054 طالبا وطالبة من سبع محافظات من محافظات سلطنة عمان وأجريت كذلك مقابلة جماعية مركّزة مع عدد من 50 طالبا وطالبة. وخلصت الدراسة إلى امتلاك المعلمين العمانيين السمات الشخصية بدرجة عالية، والكفايات المهنية بدرجة معتدلة، وحازت سمة "الأناقة في الملبس" على أعلى المتوسطات في السمات للشخصية، كما حصلت سمة "التمكن من المادة الدراسية" على أعلى المتوسطات في الكفايات المهنية، أما أقل المتوسطات فكان من نصيب "الحلم والعفو عند المقدرة" في السمات الشخصية، والقدرة على "تحديد نقاط القوة والضعف لدى طلابه، ووضع الخطط العلاجية لها" في الكفايات المهنية. وبينت النتائج وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا بين استجابات الطلبة الذكور والإناث في تقديرهم للسمات الشخصية والكفايات المهنية التي يتمتع بها المعلم العماني، لصالح الإناث. وفي ضوء هذه النتائج، أوصت الدراسة بتنظيم البرامج والدورات التدريبية للمعلمين في مجالات بناء العلاقات الإيجابية مع الطلبة، والاستفادة من نتائج التقويم في تحسين التدريس، والكشف عن أسباب تفاوت استجابات الطلبة في نظرتهم للمعلم، وإجراء دراسات متنوعة في الكشف عن صورة المعلم لدى الطلبة. The aim of this study was to reveal the image of the Omani teachers from their students’ perspective when asked to investigate their personal and professional attributes, and the effect of student's gender on their estimation of these attributes. The study used the descriptive method and was based on a questionnaire consisting of 30 items, divided into two domains, the first being the personal attributes and the other are professional competencies. Students were given an opportunity at the end of the questionnaire to express their views in the image of the teacher. In addition, a focus group interview was conducted with 50 students. The questionnaire was answered by 1054 students from seven governorates of the Sultanate of Oman. The study concluded that Omani teachers possess highly personal attributes and moderately professional competencies. The attribute “elegance in clothing” has the highest average in personality attributes, and “mastery of the subject” has the highest average in professional competencies. On the other hand, the lowest averages were “dreaming and pardon for forgiveness” in personal attributes, the ability to “identify the strengths and weaknesses of students, and to develop remedial plans” in professional competencies. The results showed statistically significant differences between the responses of male and female students in their estimation of the personal attributes and professional competencies of the Omani teacher in favor of female students. In light of these results, the study recommended organizing programs and training courses for teachers in the areas of building positive relationships with students, taking advantage of the results of the assessment in improving teaching, revealing the reasons for the different responses of students in their view of the teacher, and finally conducting various studies to clarify the image of the teacher.
