ملخص

Throughout Al Azhar's long history, a great deal of attention was paid to its
international students. Those non-Arab international students came from various
regions seeking knowledge based on Al Azhar distinguished method. The social
media platforms have become a significant and vital part of any religious institution's
identity. They also play a big role in increasing the linkage with its followers. The
study examined how Al Azhar international students perceive such content of
tolerance and accepting the other on the digital platforms of Al Azhar. The study
used the descriptive qualitative method through applying Simi-structured interview
on the correspondents. A sample of 30 non-Arab international students was selected
after applying the selection criteria and referring to the university official statistics.
The results revealed that despite the high importance of the correspondents towards
such tolerance content on Al Azhar official platforms, their perception was varied due
to their various cultural and regional backgrounds. One of the main negatives from
the correspondents’ point of views was that most of the published content is mainly
in Arabic which constituted a barrier and difficulty in distributing the content among
their social networks. The findings also pointed out that updating the official YouTube
channel by adding more contents in different languages, is one of the most common
suggestions among the correspondents.
