البرمجيات الحرة في خدمة إدارة الوثائق والمعلومات: إدارة الوثائق االنتخابية بتونس نموذجا

Based on the many benefits of openness, flexibility and
stability, free software is most appropriate in the field of
information and documents today. The project presented here is to
question the extent of the use of free software in the scientific management of records and archives with a private case study relating to the archiving of special events such as the first elections in Tunisia after the revolution of 2011. What are the most important characteristics in common between this software and
archives and records management?
The software that we used in this area called “Greenstone”. The digital electoral resources that we developed in this study show that these free systems are able to answer the problems of the principle of access to information as well as save documents in the long term as an essential community development and to preserve the memory of the people.
In this study, we are trying to advance the history of free software systems, their advantages, their economic model and the context of their emergence in libraries and information centres. We also provide an example of the use of this type of software in both the documentation and management of the experience of elections in Tunisia, this unique experience that came after the revolution of
2011.
